UPDATE: The 3D Seismic Symposium will be rescheduled for a later date.
3D seismic data volumes represent some of the largest data files used in the E&P industry and have made a significant contribution to the industry’s exponential surge in demand for computing power and cloud storage. Readily accessible data is crucial for processing and analytics platforms, but often the bulk storage methods lack the complexity to effectively locate the correct data efficiently.
Even with accessible data, risk is something that must be considered. Do you have the rights to the data? Have compliance issues been addressed? There are many considerations other than simply accessing the files that oil and gas companies should consider when storing and managing their subsurface data volumes.
Contact Katalyst to learn how your company can harness data management tools and cloud computing strategies to boost production and reduce risk in a cost effective way for your subsurface data assets.
The 26th annual 3D Seismic Symposium, sponsored by the Denver Geophysical Society (DGS), was originally to be held on Tuesday 17 March, 2020 at the Ellie Caulkins Auditorium, Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex in downtown Denver, Colorado. The organizers are determining when to reschedule this event.
