PERTH, Western Australia (May 17, 2016) – Katalyst Data Management has opened a new full service iGlass datacenter to support oil and gas companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region with their operational and exploration programs.
The new iGlass datacenter at Katalyst’s Perth operation (KDM SpectrumData) is a vote of confidence that strong levels of oil and gas activity throughout the region will create a growing need for a complete end-to-end solution for subsurface data management located in clients’ key operational areas.
Perth is a growing oil and gas hub for the Asia Pacific region and will be Katalyst’s fourth location worldwide for an iGlass datacenter, with others now open in Calgary, Houston and London.
iGlass is Katalyst’s signature hosted technology solution that provides a complete set of tools for the full life cycle of subsurface data management. iGlass incorporates a web-based ESRI GIS map interface for direct access to by clients to all their digital seismic, well and interpretation data.
Scalable to any level on a global basis, iGlass allows companies to manage subsurface assets, including seismic, interpretation and well data, consistently across geographically dispersed locations. They can locate seismic trace data near their regional business unit, while still maintaining a central administration to ensure all locations are being managed according to their global process framework.
