Our Perth Location Has Moved
Katalyst Data Management’s Asia-Pacific team in Perth recently moved offices, and we could not be happier with our new location. No longer in the physical storage business, the previous location was no longer suitable, as we’ve completely transitioned to digital storage. Katalyst decided to make the move from their previous location in Mount Hawthorn to their new facility at 5 Gibberd Road in Balcatta, as it was much better suited to the company’s subsurface data management processes.
The move itself was a huge feat, and the team from not just Perth, but our other Asia-Pacific and North America offices really came together to pull it off without a hitch. It was quite an undertaking to complete everything in 5 weeks, and everyone involved did an outstanding job!
The data centre houses the complete suite of Katalyst’s subsurface data management offering, including an iGlass room for cloud storage. Our new 135 sq m computer room was built from scratch and is pretty impressive, if we do say so ourselves! After the building updates were complete, we went straight to work branding our new location with our signature purple and blue colours, and updated internal and external signage to reflect our company pride.
In addition to being a full service iGlass facility, the new Perth location is also equipped for Katalyst’s full range of services, including tape transcription, scanning and digitizing, just like our other locations in Houston, Calgary and London. Katalyst’s Perth data centre continues to serve as a data management hub for oil and gas companies operating in the Asia-Pacific region.
