The Katalyst Data Management Team based in New Zealand has a long term contract to manage the New Zealand Governments National Core store located in Featherston.
In September, our core store contract manager Dan Willmott hosted a core logging workshop for the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and AusIMM Minerals Institute as part of their annual conference. The workshop presented a summary of the technologies available for core logging in exploration and mining.
The 2,300 square meter National Core Store in Featherston houses the New Zealand’s collected petroleum, minerals and coal core, cuttings and samples, and has fit-for-purpose viewing facilities.
The Core Store can be visited by appointment only.
